Southeast Gulf of America

.SYNOPSIS...A 1019 mb high in the northeastern Gulf will drift
eastward through Sat, leading to gentle to moderate SE winds
east of 85W. A cold front associated with the low pressure system
is slated to enter the northwestern Gulf Sat night, then move
across the rest of the Gulf through Mon. This will cause fresh to
strong NW winds and rough seas Mon and Mon night. Looking ahead, 
high pressure will rebuild across the basin early next week. 

.TODAY...E to SE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
.TONIGHT...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 ft in the evening,
subsiding to 2 ft or less.

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure will build in the wake of the front 
offshore of Florida later today, as a complex low pressure system 
strengthens north of the area. The pressure gradient between these
features will support moderate to fresh SW winds north of 29N and
west of 70W by late tonight, and west of 60W on Sat. Looking 
ahead, a cold front is slated to push off the coast of the 
southeastern United States early next week, leading to fresh to 
strong winds and rough seas in the wake of the front. 

.TODAY...S of 27N, N to NE winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to E to SE
in the afternoon. N of 27N, NW to N winds 10 kt, shifting to SW
in the afternoon. Seas 4 to 6 ft.
