Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Fresh to locally strong SE winds and locally rough
seas will occur across the central and western Gulf through
tonight as the pressure gradient tightens between high pressure
over the eastern Gulf and strengthening low pressure in the
south-central United States. A cold front associated with the
aforementioned low will move into the northwestern Gulf tonight,
leading to fresh N to NE winds in its wake Fri morning into
early Sat. Strong to near-gale force winds and locally very
rough seas will be possible in the southwestern basin offshore
of Veracruz Fri afternoon through Sat morning. Looking ahead,
building high pressure this weekend will lead to gentle to
moderate winds and slight to moderate seas across the basin into
early next week.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...Moderate to fresh winds and rough seas to 10 ft will
continue to affect the offshore waters N of 28N and E of 70W
through Sat, extending also across the offshore waters E of the
Bahamas tonight into Sat as high pressure builds N of the area.
This will lead to locally strong trade winds and rough seas in E
swell south of 25N and E of the approaches to the Windward 
Passage through Mon. A cold front is expected to progress
offshore of the southeastern coast of the United States on Fri
night,  producing fresh to strong winds and rough seas in its
wake and affecting the offshore waters N of 27N before lifting N
of the  area Sat night. Afterward, gentle to moderate winds and
moderate seas are forecast for the waters N of 22N for the
remainder forecast period.

N of 27N. Seas 3 to 4 ft. 
.FRI...SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SE to S 15 to 20 kt N

.SAT...S of 27N, SE winds 5 to 10 kt. N of 27N, SW winds 15 to
20 kt, becoming W to NW 5 to 10 kt in the afternoon. Seas 3 to
5 ft.
