Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...The outer rainbands of Post-Tropical Cyclone Francine which is inland near 33.8N 89.8W at 5 PM EDT continue to affect the NE Gulf offshore waters with latest scatterometer data showing fresh to locally strong SW winds in the region of stronger tstms. Francine will become extratropical and move to 35.1N 90.1W Fri morning, 35.9N 90.5W Fri afternoon, and dissipate Sat morning. Remnant outer winds and seas in the NE Gulf associated with Francine will diminish and subside through this evening. Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida .SYNOPSIS...A stationary front extending from a 1014 mb low near 30N75W to NE Florida near 30N81W will continue to support moderate to fresh NE to E winds and seas up to 8 ft north of it and over the NE Florida offshore waters. The front will retreat northward as a warm front and stall along 31N through the end of the week. In a few days, a non-tropical area of low pressure could form along the residual frontal boundary. Thereafter, some subtropical or tropical development is possible during the early part of next week while the system drifts to the north or northwest. Regardless of development, increasing winds and building seas will impact the waters near 31N by the end of the weekend into early next week.
