Scattered to numerous convection will continue across the northwest and north-central portions of the basin through into next week as a mid to upper level trough persists across the northwestern Gulf along with a surface trough and weak low pressure. The surface trough and weak low pressure is expected to meander near the northwest Gulf coast through much of next week, and some slow development of this system is possible if it remains offshore.
