Hurricane Ernesto is near 23.9N 69.1W at 5 AM AST, moving north at 11 kt. Maximum sustained winds are 75 kt with gusts to 90 kt, and the minimum central pressure is 979 mb. Ernesto is forecast to continue to strengthen as it moves on a northerly track, reaching near 25.4N 69.1W this afternoon, near 29.3N 66.7W Fri afternoon, then pass very near Bermuda Sat morning. A weak frontal boundary extends from near Bermuda to north-central Florida and will drift southward across the northwestern part of the area, and stall to the NW of Ernesto by Fri, producing moderate to fresh NE winds behind it.
