Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A stationary front extends from Tampa Bay to a low
pressure in the NW Gulf from where a cold front extends to
Veracruz, Mexico. The low will move NE out of the north-central
Gulf Fri. In response, the eastern part of the front will
retreat northward as a warm front, while the western portion
will remain generally stationary into the weekend. The boundary
will then dissipate over northern waters Sun. Strong NE to E
winds are anticipated N of the low pressure through tonight.
Over the weekend, high pressure centered in the western Atlantic
will build weakly into the basin, bringing fairly tranquil
conditions to the basin for the start of next week.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A surface trough along 56W N of 21N will drift E
through the weekend, with some weak low pressure centers
possibly developing along it at times, inducing some fresh to
locally strong N winds the west of the trough axis. A 1025 mb 
high pressure centered just S of Bermuda will continue shifting
S and E today, allowing a stationary front currently in the far 
NW waters to move E across the northernmost waters. This front 
will cross waters N of 28N through Fri, with some strong NE to E 
winds behind it. Winds and seas will diminish for the start of 
next week.
