Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front moving across the basin extends from
the Florida Panhandle to just S of Tampico, Mexico. The front is
expected to move slowly E-SE then stall along about 27N late
Thu, then gradually dissipate through Fri. Fresh to strong NE to
E winds are expected N of the front through Thu evening. Over
the weekend, high pressure centered in the western Atlantic will
build weakly into the region.

.SYNOPSIS...Strong high pressure centered over the N central 
Atlantic extends a ridge SW to south Florida. This ridge will 
weaken modestly Thu and allow a cold front to sink SE into the NW 
waters Thu morning. The front is expected to stall along 29N early
Fri then drift N into the weekend to the W of 68W, while moving 
slowly SE across the waters E of 68W. Strong high pressure N of 
the front will induce strong NE to E winds across the NE waters 
Sat and Sun. 

.TONIGHT...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S 15 to 20 kt
N of 27N. Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.THU...S of 27N, E winds 10 to 15 kt. N of 27N, SE to S winds
10 to 15 kt, shifting to E 15 to 20 kt in the afternoon. Seas
4 to 6 ft in E swell. 
.THU NIGHT...E winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft in NE to E
swell. 
.FRI...E to SE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft.
