Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A 1008 mb low is over the eastern Gulf near 27N85W,
with a cold front extending from it to 25N90W and to inland
Mexico at 20N97W. Strong to near gale force northerly winds are
behind the front. Gale force north winds are offshore Tampico,
Mexico. The gale force winds will expand southward tonight and
impact areas offshore Veracruz, Mexico into Sun. The low
pressure will shift southeastward toward the southeastern Gulf
on Sun. Gale force north winds are expected over some of the
waters to the west of the low by early Sun, then diminish during
Sun afternoon. Rough to very rough seas will be produced by the
strong to gale force winds. The front and low pressure will exit
the basin Sun night allowing for marine conditions to improve.
Rough seas will continue over portions of the southern Gulf of
Mexico into early Mon as high pressure settles over the region.
Fresh southerly return flow is expected for the western Gulf Wed
and Wed night as the high shifts eastward. These winds diminish
Thu as a frontal boundary approaches the NW Gulf. 

.OVERNIGHT...S of 24N, S to SW winds 10 to 15 kt. N of 24N, SW to
W winds 10 to 15 kt, becoming NW to N 20 to 25 kt late. Seas 4 to
6 ft, building to 6 to 9 ft late. Scattered showers and isolated 
thunderstorms. 
.SUN...W winds 15 to 20 kt S of 24N, and N to NE 20 to 25 kt N of
24N. Seas 8 to 11 ft in NW swell. Scattered showers and isolated 
thunderstorms. 
.SUN NIGHT...N winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 7 to 11 ft in NW to N
swell. Scattered to numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms.

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extending from near 31N73W to Palm 
Beach, Florida will become stationary by early Sun from near 
31N67W to weak low pressure near the NW Bahamas and to South 
Florida. The low pressure will move northeastward to north of 
the area late Tue. Fresh to strong will continue near and to the 
northwest of the frontal boundary along with rough seas, with 
the potential for more widespread strong and near gale force 
winds near the track of the low pressure. A broad area of fresh 
to strong northwest winds will over the waters northeast of the 
Bahamas Wed and Wed night. These winds will shift to the 
northeast part of the area Thu and Thu night as fresh southwest 
to west develop over the waters northeast of northern Florida in 
advance of the next frontal system.

to 15 kt, shifting to NE late. Seas 3 ft. Areas of rain with 
embedded scattered showers N of 27N.
