Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A 1023 mb high pressure centered just S of the Rio
Grande extends a ridge a ridge E-SE across the basin. This
pattern will support moderate fresh NE winds over the E Gulf
into tonight. Stronger high pressure will shift eastward across
the central U.S. and into the eastern U.S.through Thu, causing
fresh winds to veer E, with some strong winds developing in the
Florida Straits and adjacent waters through Fri. SE return flow
is expected to develop Sat.

.SYNOPSIS...A stationary front extends from 31N69W through the 
Windward Passage. Fresh to strong SE to S winds are N of 27N and
E of front to 62W. Behind the front, strong N winds are noted N 
of 26N and W of 72W. Strong high pressure will build into the 
western Atlantic behind the front through early Thu, causing the 
fresh to strong N winds to continue, before gradually diminishing 
to moderate to fresh Thu night and Fri. Winds and seas will slowly
subside Fri night and Sat as high pressure weakens.

N of 27N. Seas 6 to 8 ft.
