Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A 1023 mb high pressure centered just S of the Rio
Grange extends a ridge a ridge E-SE across the basin. This
pattern will support fresh N winds over the E Gulf today.
Stronger high pressure will shift eastward across the central
U.S. and into the eastern U.S. tonight through Thu, to produce
fresh to strong NE to E winds across th e eastern Gulf,
including the Straits of Florida, through Fri. SE return flow is
expected to develop Sat.

.SYNOPSIS...A stationary front extends from 31N69W through the 
Windward Passage. Strong SE to S winds are N of 27N and E of 
front to 62W. Behind the front, fresh strong NW winds are noted
N of 28N and W of 74W. Strong high pressure will build into the 
western Atlantic behind the front tonight through early Thu to 
produce fresh to strong winds, gradually diminishing to moderate
 to fresh Thu night and Fri. Winds and seas will slowly subside 
Fri night and Sat as high pressure weakens.
