Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...1024 mb high pressure along the coast of S Texas
extends a ridge E-SE across the basin, to a stalled cold front
across the SW Atlantic and west central Caribbean. This pattern
will support fresh N winds over the E Gulf through this morning.
Stronger high pressure will shift eastward across the central
U.S. and into the eastern U.S. Tue through Thu, to produce fresh
to strong NE to E winds across the eastern Gulf, including the
Straits of Florida, through early Fri. SE return flow is
expected to develop Sat.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A stalled cold front extends from 31N69W through the
 Windward Passage. Strong SE to S winds are N of 25N and E of
front to 62W. Behind the front, strong NW winds are noted N of
28N and  W of 76W. A band of showers and thunderstorms persists
along and  ahead of the cold front to 65W. Strong high pressure
will build  into the western Atlantic behind the front Tue night
through early Thu to produce fresh to strong winds, gradually
diminishing to  moderate to fresh Thu through Fri. This will
force the front to move SE and reach from 31N66W to Haiti Tue
evening, from 31N61W  to central Hispaniola Wed evening, then
begin to dissipate from  22N60W to NE Hispaniola Thu evening.
Winds and seas will slowly  subside Fri through Sat as high
pressure weakens.
