Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from the Florida Panhandle to
the western Bay of Campeche. Gale force winds are ongoing off
the coast of Veracruz. This front will reach from Tampa Bay to
the eastern Bay of Campeche Wed, then stall Thu from the
southern tip of Florida to the northern Yucatan Peninsula. 
Meanwhile, strong winds will follow the front across most of the 
Gulf through Wed night. Winds and seas will subside on Thu as high
pressure settles in. 

.TONIGHT...SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Scattered
showers and isolated tstms. 
.WED...S winds 10 to 15 kt, shifting to W in the afternoon. Seas
3 to 5 ft. Slight chance of tstms. 
.WED NIGHT...N winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.THU...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. 
.THU NIGHT...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...Low pressure of 1004 mb just E of the area near
30N52W has a cold front extending SE to just N of the Virgin
Islands. N gale force winds have moved E of the waters, but a
broad area of strong N to NE winds is impacting waters N of 23N
and E of 65W. Seas in this area are 12 to 18 ft. The low will
move SE across the central subtropical Atlantic, reaching warmer
sea temperatures  over the next few days. Environmental
conditions could allow for  this system to gradually acquire
tropical or subtropical  characteristics, and a subtropical or
tropical storm could form by the latter part of this week or
this weekend, as the system turns NE. Looking ahead, fresh to 
strong winds are definitely offshore northern Florida in advance 
of the next cold front that will push off the Florida coast by 
Wed.

N of 27N. Seas 4 to 6 ft.
