This front will reach from Tampa Bay to the eastern Bay of Campeche Wed, then stall Thu from the southern tip of Florida to the northern Yucatan Peninsula. N gale force winds have moved E of the waters, but a broad area of strong N to NE winds is impacting waters N of 23N and E of 65W. Seas in this area are 12 to 18 ft. The low will move SE across the central subtropical Atlantic, reaching warmer sea temperatures over the next few days. Environmental conditions could allow for this system to gradually acquire tropical or subtropical characteristics, and a subtropical or tropical storm could form by the latter part of this week or this weekend, as the system turns NE.
