.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Tammy is near 22.3N 63.6W at 5 PM EDT, and
is moving north-northeast at 6 kt. Maximum sustained winds are 
65 kt with gusts to 80 kt, and the minimum central pressure is 
990 mb. Tammy will move to 23.0N 62.9W Tue morning, 24.0N 61.7W 
Tue afternoon, 25.3N 60.3W Wed morning, 26.8N 59.0W Wed 
afternoon, 28.9N 58.6W Thu morning, and weaken as an 
extratropical cyclone near 30.3N 59.3W Thu afternoon. Tammy will 
change little in intensity as it moves N of the area near 31.7N 
62.1W Fri afternoon. A cold front from near 31N65W to the northern
Bahamas. High pressure will move off the east coast of the United
States later tonight, and build north of the forecast area 
through midweek. The pressure gradient between the front, Tammy, 
and the area of building high pressure will tighten. The 
tightening pressure gradient will help to develop of a broad area 
of strong NE winds and rough seas across much of the area west of 
the boundary starting tonight and continuing through the week.
