Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Weak high pressure over the lower Mississippi Valley
and northern Gulf will be in control of the weather pattern
across basin through early next week. This pattern will support
mostly gentle to moderate east to southeast winds and slight
seas through the forecast period. 

.TODAY...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered
showers and isolated tstms. 
.TONIGHT...NE winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming NE to E 15 to 20 kt
after midnight. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered showers and isolated
tstms. 
.SAT...NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered
showers and isolated tstms. 
.SAT NIGHT...NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.

.SYNOPSIS...Potential Tropical Cyclone Sixteen is near 30.5N
75.0W at 5 AM EDT, and is moving north at 12 kt. Maximum
sustained winds are 45 kt with gusts to 55 kt, and the minimum
central pressure is 1000 mb. Sixteen will move to 31.6N 75.8W
this afternoon, then  continue to move north of the area to the
coast of North Carolina through early Sat. A weak ridge will
build in the wake of  Sixteen off northeast Florida through
early next week, although a trough will persist across the
Bahamas. 

.TODAY...N winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and NW to N 25 to 30 kt N
of 27N. Seas 4 to 6 ft in NE swell. 
.TONIGHT...S of 27N, NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. N of 27N, NW to N
winds 20 to 25 kt, becoming N 10 to 15 kt after midnight. Seas
5 to 7 ft in N to NE swell. Scattered showers and isolated tstms.
.SAT...E winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and N 10 to 15 kt N of 27N.
