Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure over the SE US will support moderate E
to SE winds across most of the basin through tonight, and gentle
to moderate winds thereafter through mid-week. Afterward, a weak
pressure gradient will result in light to gentle winds and
slight seas the remainder of the forecast period, with the
exception of gentle to moderate winds, mainly at night, just W
of the Yucatan Peninsula. 

.TODAY...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Scattered
showers and isolated tstms. 
.TONIGHT...E to SE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 ft. Scattered showers
and isolated tstms. 
.WED...SE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.WED NIGHT...E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.THU...NE to E winds less than 5 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.

.SYNOPSIS...Seas of 8 to 10 ft in N to NE swell are occurring 
over much of the area N of 26N E of 65W. This swell event will 
continue to subside today with seas less than 8 ft by tonight. 
Looking ahead, an area of low pressure located over the central 
tropical Atlantic about 900 miles west-southwest of the Cabo 
Verde Islands is forecast to become a tropical depression or 
tropical storm over the next day or so, and should cross 55W by 
Fri. 

.TODAY...NE to E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
.TONIGHT...S of 27N, NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. N of 27N, NE to E
winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to SE after midnight. Seas 3 to 4 ft.
