Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A ridge will persist from southwest Florida to the
central Texas coast through mid week, while a trough will
develop over the Yucatan Peninsula each evening and move
offshore. This pattern will maintain moderate to fresh winds
pulsing north and west of the Yucatan peninsula during the late
afternoon and evening hours. Elsewhere, gentle to moderate winds
and slight seas will prevail.  

.THIS AFTERNOON...SE to S winds 10 kt late in the morning, becoming
variable less than 5 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft in S swell. 
.TONIGHT...E winds 10 kt S of 24N, and variable less than 5 kt N
of 24N. Seas 2 to 3 ft in S swell. 
.SUN...E winds 10 kt S of 24N, and variable less than 5 kt N of
24N. Seas 2 to 3 ft in S swell in the afternoon.
.SUN NIGHT...NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt S of 24N, and variable
less than 5 kt N of 24N. Seas 2 to 3 ft in S swell.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure will persist east of the Bahamas 
along 25N through Sun, supporting pulses of fresh to strong NE
to E winds and rough seas off Hispaniola. The ridge will shift 
northward into Mon ahead of a tropical wave that will be 
approaching the area from the east. Looking ahead, the northern 
portion of the tropical wave will move westward south of 22N
into  mid week. 

.THIS AFTERNOON...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S to SW
5 to 10 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 to 4 ft S of 27N, and 2 to 3 ft N of
27N. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.TONIGHT...SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S to SW 10 to 15 kt
N of 27N. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Scattered showers and isolated 
thunderstorms.
