Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extending over the northern Gulf waters
will dissipate by Thu. Gentle to moderate westerly winds are
expected in association with this front. Then, weak high
pressure will continue to dominate the weather pattern across
the Gulf region through the upcoming weekend producing mainly
light to gentle winds and slight seas. However, winds and seas
could be higher near showers and thunderstorms. Gentle to
moderate NE to E winds are forecast at night near and NW of the
Yucatan Peninsula through the forecast period. 

.THIS AFTERNOON...SW to W winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.TONIGHT...SW to W winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.THU...S to SW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.THU NIGHT...W to NW winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to NE late. Seas

.FRI...NE to E winds less than 5 kt, shifting to SE to S in the

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure is building westward across the
forecast region. This will bring gentle to moderate southerly
winds across the majority of the area through Thu morning. A low
pressure area is forecast to develop along a frontal boundary
just off the SE US tonight into Thu morning. This system is 
forecast to move toward Cape Hatteras by Fri, with strong winds 
and rough seas expected to remain north of 31N. 

.THIS AFTERNOON...S to SW winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and SW to W
10 to 15 kt N of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less S of 27N, and 3 ft N of
27N. 
.TONIGHT...S winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S to SW 5 to 10 kt N
of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered showers and isolated tstms. 
.THU...S to SW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.
