Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A strong cold front from the the Florida panhandle
to the Yucatan peninsula will move eastward, pushing east of the
basin by the end of the weekend. An intense area of
thunderstorms with locally higher winds and seas will precede
the front. Strong to gale- force NW winds are expected
immediately behind the front through around sunset, with
frequent gusts to gale force within 60 nm of the coast from
Louisiana to Central Florida. High pres will build in the wake
of the front, and become centered over the eastern Gulf Mon
through Wed.

.OVERNIGHT...SW winds 20 to 25 kt, with frequent gusts to gale
force within 60 nm of the coast. Seas 5 to 7 ft. Scattered 
showers and isolated tstms.
.SUN...W winds 20 to 30 kt with frequent gusts to gale force 
within 60 nm of the coast, shifting to W to NW 15 to 20 kt in the
afternoon. Seas 7 to 10 ft. Numerous showers and scattered tstms.
.SUN NIGHT...W to NW winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 6 to 9 ft. 
.MON...N winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. 
.MON NIGHT...NW to N winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to SE late. Seas
3 to 5 ft. 
.TUE...E to SE winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to S in the afternoon.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...High pres along 25N will linger through tonight 
ahead of a strong cold front. The front is forecast to move off 
the US East Coast Sun night through Mon. Strong to gale- force 
southerly winds will prevail ahead of the front to the N of 28N 
and W of 70W, as well as in the coastal waters S of 28N, through
early Sun evening. The front will then gradually weaken and slow
early next week. Another, weaker front may move across the 
northern waters mid- week.

.OVERNIGHT...S winds 15 to 20 kt, with frequent gusts to gale
force within 60 nm of the coast. S of 27N, seas 2 ft or less, 
building to 3 ft late. N of 27N, seas 3 to 5 ft. Scattered tstms.
.SUN...SW winds 25 to 35 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft S of 27N, and 6 to 9
