Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Weak ridging extends from southwest Florida to
southeast Louisiana. The ridge will shift east today ahead of a
cold front that is forecast to enter the western Gulf tonight.
The front will move southeastward across much of the Gulf and
reach from Fort Myers, Florida to Tampico, Mexico by Sun night.
Fresh to strong N to NE winds and building seas are likely
behind the front over much of the western and central Gulf Sun
into early Mon. Well in advance of the front, there is a
possibility of some severe thunderstorm squalls with gusty winds
over portions of the north-central and NE Gulf today.  

.TODAY...SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.TONIGHT...E to SE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.SUN...E to SE winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to S to SW in the
afternoon. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered showers. 
.SUN NIGHT...NW winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming N 15 to 20 kt after
midnight. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.MON...N winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.MON NIGHT...N to NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.

.SYNOPSIS...A stationary front extends from 31N41W to 21N60W 
then becomes a surface trough continues to 31N76W. Moderate to 
fresh winds will prevail N of the front as it dissipates through
today. The next cold front is expected to move offshore of 
northern Florida Sun night or early Mon morning enhancing winds 
and seas across the western Atlantic through Tue.

.TODAY...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 ft. 
.TONIGHT...SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SE to S 5 to 10 kt
N of 27N. Seas 3 ft in the evening, subsiding to 2 ft or less. 
.SUN...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered
showers. 
.SUN NIGHT...SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S 10 to 15 kt N
of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less, building to 3 ft after midnight.
