Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A surface trough extends along 90W and S of 28N. A
low pres will develop along the trough today. Strong to
near-gale force E winds with seas to 9 ft are already occurring
across the NE Gulf. Winds will be increasing to gale-force this
afternoon over the NE gulf waters as the low develops and moves N
through Wed night. Once the low has moved inland, marine 
conditions at both locations will improve by Thu afternoon. For 
the weekend, a cold front is forecast to enter the western Gulf 
which will cause winds and seas to increase. 

.TODAY...SE to S winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. Scattered
showers. 
.TONIGHT...S to SW winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. 
.THU...S to SW winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Scattered
showers. 
.THU NIGHT...S to SW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 ft. 
.FRI...S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.FRI NIGHT...SE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less, building to
3 ft after midnight. 
.SAT...SE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.SAT NIGHT...NE winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to E to SE after
midnight. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.SUN...SE winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to N in the afternoon. Seas
2 ft or less. 
.SUN NIGHT...N winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.  

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from 31N54W to near 24N65W,
then continues westward as a stationary front to the central
Bahamas. Fresh to strong NE winds north of the stationary front 
will prevail north of 25N and west of 68W through today. Rough 
seas north of 25N produced by large NE swell should gradually 
subside today. The cold front will continue slowly moving eastward
through Fri, while the stationary front should gradually weaken 
and dissipate. In response, both winds and seas should subside 
further Thu and Fri.

.TODAY...E winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. Scattered showers. 
.TONIGHT...E to SE winds 15 to 20 kt S of 27N, and E 15 to 20 kt
N of 27N. Seas 4 to 6 ft. Scattered tstms.
