Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from Pascagoula, MS to a
1003 mb low pressure in the western Bay of Campeche near 20N95W
to the coast of Mexico near 18.5N95W. Strong S winds will 
continue over the eastern Gulf, including the Yucatan Channel, 
through early this evening. The front will reach from 
Apalachicola, FL to the central Bay of Campeche late this evening,
before stalling on Sat. Gale force gusts across the Gulf of 
Mexico will end by late this evening. Winds and seas will subside 
by Sat afternoon. Benign winds and seas will then continue into 
early next week. 

.TONIGHT...S winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 6 to 8 ft. 
.SAT...S to SW winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. 
.SAT NIGHT...SW to W winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to E to SE after
midnight. Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.SUN...E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft.

.SYNOPSIS...Surface ridging extends eastward from the Bahamas
across the central Atlantic. Strong S winds will prevail
offshore Florida and N of the Bahamas through tonight ahead of a
cold front forecast to exit the U.S. southeast coast early Sat. 
Afterward, fresh to strong SW winds will progress eastward this 
weekend ahead of the front, remaining north of 29N as the surface 
ridge settles along 24N. 

.TONIGHT...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S 20 to 25 kt
N of 27N. Seas 4 to 6 ft in SE to S swell. 
.SAT...S winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S to SW 15 to 20 kt N of
27N. Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.SAT NIGHT...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SW to W
10 to 15 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 to 4 ft.
