Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Patchy dense marine fog is possible within 20 nm of
the U.S. northern Gulf Coast through Sat morning, mainly for areas
to the north of Tampa Bay. Surface high pressure will continue to
be centered over Florida and the NW Bahamas during the next few 
days. A diurnal trough developing over the Yucatan Peninsula 
during the late afternoons will propagate westward over the Bay of
Campeche each night through Sun night. This pattern will lead to 
gentle to moderate SE winds across the northern and NE Gulf, while
moderate to fresh SE winds will continue for the southern Gulf,
south of 24N. A frontal boundary across the Gulf States is likely
to cause fresh southerly winds for the NW Gulf Sun night into 
early Mon before becoming gentle to moderate on Tue. Return flow 
is forecast to increase across the basin during the middle of next
week.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A surface ridge along 27N will maintain fresh trades
south of 24N through Sun morning. A strong cold front will move 
south of 31N tonight, extend from near 28N65W to 31N78W Sat 
morning, then begin weakening Sat night while extending from 
26N67W to 29N73W. Fresh NE to E winds will follow behind the 
front late tonight into early Sat, mainly east of 78W and north of
29N. Moderate N swell will occur for the waters N of the Bahamas 
Sat into Sun. High pressure will then continue near the NW Bahamas
into early Mon. Looking ahead, increasing SW winds can be 
expected early next week between northern Florida and Bermuda 
ahead of the next cold front.

5 to 10 kt, shifting to E after midnight. Seas 2 ft or less.
