Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A 1020 mb high pressure center located near 26N85W
will shift to well E of the Gulf by Wed. Moderate to fresh
southerly winds will develop across the western half of the Gulf
on Tue, then strengthen to strong to near gale-force Tue night
and Wed over the NW and north-central Gulf, ahead of a frontal
system that will stall across Texas. High pressure and fresh
return flow is expected across most of the basin Thu, then over
the western section and also over the central section S of 26N
from Thu night through Fri night.  

.OVERNIGHT...E winds 10 kt S of 24N, and variable less than 5 kt 
N of 24N. Seas 3 to 4 ft.

.SYNOPSIS...An E to W high pressure ridge axis along 26N will 
weaken through Tue night, then reorganize NE of the Bahamas Wed.
Fresh to strong SW to W winds across the northern waters should 
continue through early Wed as a frontal system sweeps eastward 
across the NW Atlantic. The western end of that front will sink 
into the NE waters late Wed, and reach along 22N late Thu. High 
pressure behind the front will act to freshen NE to E trade winds 
south of 24N during this period. 

.OVERNIGHT...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SW 15 to 20 
kt N of 27N except SW to W winds 20 to 25 kt N of 29N. Seas 4 to 6
ft S of 27N, and 5 to 7 ft N of 27N.
.TUE...S winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and SW to W 15 to 20 kt N of
27N except SW to W 20 to 25 kt N of 29N. Seas 3 to 5 ft in E swell
S of 27N, and 6 to 9 ft in W to NW swell N of 27N.
.TUE NIGHT...SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SW 10 to 15 kt N
of 27N. Seas 3 to 4 ft S of 27N, and 5 to 8 ft in W to NW swell
N of 27N.
.WED...SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S 5 to 10 kt N of 27N.
