Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A strong cold front extends from Marsh Island,
Louisiana SW to just south of Tampico, Mexico. Strong to near
gale force northerly winds follow the front, except for gale
force winds across the Tampico offshore waters where seas are
building to 12 ft. Gale force winds will spread S to off the
coast of Veracruz, Mexico, overnight and will continue in the
Bay of Campeche into Fri night. The front will exit the basin
early on Sat and winds and seas in the wake of the front will
diminish Sat night. Surface high pressure and associated ridging
will develop across the gulf on Sun providing mainly light to
gentle variable winds basin-wide through Mon night. Moderate to
fresh SE winds will develop across the western half of the gulf
on Tue ahead of the next frontal system.

.SYNOPSIS...A ridge building N of the area will allow winds S of
25N to increase to strong speeds into Sat, with increasing seas
to 11 ft. A cold front will enter the waters off NE Florida late Fri.
This will support strong winds ahead and behind the frontal boundary,
N of 28N, Fri through Sat as the frontal boundary moves eastward.

20 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.FRI...SE winds 15 to 20 kt S of 27N, and S 15 to 20 kt N of 27N.

.FRI NIGHT...S of 27N, SE winds 10 to 15 kt. N of 27N, S to SW
winds 10 to 15 kt, shifting to SW to W 15 to 20 kt after
midnight. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
