Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure over the area will shift eastward
today in response to a cold front that will move off the Texas
coast this morning. Fresh southerly return flow is expected
ahead of the front. Strong northerly winds and building seas
will follow the front, which is forecast to reach from near
Tampa Bay, Florida to Veracruz, Mexico by early Fri. Winds to
gale force and rough seas are possible off Veracruz behind the
front on Fri, with fresh to strong northerly winds elsewhere.
Winds and seas will diminish from W to E into Sat as the front
moves southeast of the area. Afterward, fresh to strong
southerly return flow is expected to develop across the western
Gulf on Sun along with building seas. The fresh to strong return
will expand eastward through Mon, then diminish to moderate Mon
night.  

.TODAY...SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. 
.TONIGHT...Variable winds less than 5 kt S of 24N, and SW to W
10 to 15 kt N of 24N. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
.FRI...W to NW winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 6 to 8 ft.

.SYNOPSIS...A stationary front extending from 31N51W to near 
23N63W will begin to shift E as a cold front this morning, 
exiting the area by early this evening. High pressure will
follow in behind the front. A strong cold front will move off
the northeast Florida coast early Fri. As the front moves 
eastward across the forecast waters, expect increasing winds and 
building seas. Fresh to strong winds are forecast on either side 
of the front during the upcoming weekend. These winds could reach 
minimal gale force across the waters N of 28N Sat night into early
on Sun. Seas of 12-15 ft are expected with the strongest winds NE
of the Bahamas.

of 27N. Seas 3 to 4 ft. 
.TONIGHT...SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S 15 to 20 kt N of 
27N. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms 
N of 27N. Isolated showers S of 27N. 
.FRI...S of 27N, S winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming  SW to W 10 to 15 
kt in the afternoon. N of 27N, SW winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 4 to 6 
ft. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.FRI NIGHT...W to NW winds 20 to 30 kt. Seas 8 to 10 ft. Isolated
showers. 
.SAT...NW winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 6 to 9 ft, except 8 to 12 ft N
of 27N.
