Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Weak high pressure over the southeast U.S. will
shift east today ahead of a cold front expected to move off the
Texas coast into the northwest Gulf later this morning. The
front will stall over the northern Gulf tonight and dissipate
early Mon. Light to gentle variable winds will dominate the
basin afterward through Thu morning when a strong cold front is
forecast to emerge off the coast of Texas. Fresh southerly flow
will return to the Texas coast Wed into Thu ahead of this front. 

.TODAY...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 ft in the morning,
subsiding to 2 ft or less. 
.TONIGHT...N to NE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.MON...N to NE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.MON NIGHT...N to NE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.TUE...NE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from 31N58W to 25N70W, where it
transitions to a stationary front to the central Bahamas. The 
front will move to the central Atlantic waters tonight while the
 stationary tail end of the front dissipates. Looking ahead, 
another front will move off the northeast Florida coast early Mon,
then weaken and nearly stall as it reaches from Bermuda to the 
Straits of Florida by Tue. A reinforcing front will move into the 
region Wed, merge with the previous front, and reach from 31N55W 
to eastern Cuba by late Thu.

.TODAY...E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. 
.TONIGHT...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SE to S 10 to
15 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Scattered showers. 
.MON...S of 27N, SE winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to NW to N in the
afternoon. N of 27N, SW winds 10 to 15 kt, shifting to W to NW in
the afternoon. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
