Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from the Straits of Florida to
the N coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, and continues as a
stationary front to the central Bay of Campeche. The cold front
will stall across the Yucatan Channel this evening. The
stationary portion will become a sharp surface trough over the
SW Gulf on Fri. The surface trough will extend from the SW Gulf 
to the NW Gulf over the weekend while possible low pres forms 
along the trough. The gradient between this possible low pres and 
high pres across the south-central U.S. will produce strong to 
gale force winds across much of the Gulf of Mexico late Sat 
through Sun night.

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from 31N71W across the NW
Bahamas to the Straits of Florida. The front will move SE and
stall from  near Bermuda to the NW Bahamas to NW Cuba tonight.
Fresh N winds will briefly follow the front through early this 
morning. High pressure will build in the wake of the front. Over 
the weekend, another cold front will enter the waters east of 
Florida, bringing fresh to strong N to NE winds behind it.
