Fresh to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will persist over the southwest Gulf through mid week near an area of low pressure. Environmental conditions are expected to conducive for some development, and a tropical depression could from within the next day or two while the system meanders over the southwest Gulf. After that time, increasing upper-level winds are likely to hinder additional development. The change in the pattern will allow a cold front to enter the northwest Gulf by Thu.
