Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Newly-formed Tropical Depression Nine, located early
this morning in the SE Caribbean Sea, is forecast to strengthen
into a hurricane as it moves NW toward the NW Caribbean into the
weekend. By the start of next weeks, impacts from this system
may begin to affect portions of the SE Gulf of Mexico, in the
form of increasing wind and seas. Otherwise, a relatively weak
pressure gradient across the Gulf waters will support mainly
gentle to locally moderate winds and slight seas through the
weekend. 

.TODAY...N to NE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.TONIGHT...NE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered
showers and isolated tstms. 
.SAT...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Isolated tstms. 
.SAT NIGHT...NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...Major Hurricane Fiona will continue moving northward
through the North Atlantic, away from the area. However, swells 
generated by Fiona will continue to spread across the western 
Atlantic toward the coast of the United States over the next day 
or so. These swells are likely to cause life- threatening surf 
and rip current conditions. Impacts from newly formed Tropical 
Depression Nine, currently in the SE Caribbean Sea, may affect 
areas offshore Florida early next week.

25 kt N of 27N. Seas 4 to 6 ft. Scattered showers and isolated
