Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...An area of low pressure is centered over the NW Gulf
of Mexico. This system is forecast to move slowly westward or
west-southwestward and approach the coast of Texas during the
next day or two. Slow development of the low is possible, and it
could become a short-lived tropical depression near the coast
before it moves inland on Wednesday night or Thursday.
Regardless of development, heavy rain will be possible along
portions of the Texas coast later this week. A weak ridge will
continue to dominate the remainder of the Gulf waters through
the week supporting mainly gentle to moderate winds and slight
to moderate seas.

.SYNOPSIS...The Atlantic ridge will continue to dominate the
forecast waters through at least Fri, supporting moderate to 
fresh easterly winds S of 22N, and gentle to moderate E to SE 
winds N of 22N.  

.OVERNIGHT...SE winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and SE 10 to 15 kt N
of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered showers and isolated tstms. 
.WED...SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less, building to 3 ft
in the afternoon. Scattered showers and isolated tstms.
