Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...High pressure extending westward from the Atlantic across the Gulf will shift northward through the weekend as a weak cold front approaches the Texas coast and stalls. Fresh to strong southeast winds over the NW Gulf will diminish to gentle on Sun, while similar winds over the central Gulf become confined to the waters near the northern Yucatan Peninsula. Elsewhere, winds and seas will then diminish slightly across most of the basin Sun into Mon as the pressure gradient relaxes. The winds near the northern Yucatan Peninsula will pulse at night through Wed. Fresh return flow is expected over the western Gulf Mon night through Tue night.
