Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A dying stationary front extending from near Tampa, Florida, to New Orleans, Louisiana will dissipate late this afternoon. In its wake, high pressure will build in from the north, bringing moderate to fresh easterly winds across much of the Gulf from Mon night through Wed night. A robust surface trough stretches southwestward from near this front across 31N72W to near Miami, Florida. Aided by moist southwesterly flow to its east, widespread showers and thunderstorms are occurring near the NW/Central Bahamas.
