Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...The pressure gradient between a ridge across the Gulf waters and a low pressure over NE Mexico will continue to support fresh to strong southerly winds over the western Gulf. These winds will expand eastward to the central Gulf Mon through Wed. Winds over the eastern Gulf will increase to fresh speeds Mon through Wed as the high pressure currently located over NE Florida continues to shift eastward. A weak cold front will move off the Texas coast on Wed night, then become stationary over the northern Gulf on Thu. Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida .SYNOPSIS...A slow moving cold front extends from near 31N58W to the southeastern Bahamas and to eastern tip of Cuba. Fresh to strong southwest winds are ahead of the front. The front will reach from 31N55W to northwest Haiti by Mon morning. A weakening cold front follows in behind from 31N65W to the central Bahamas. Strong west-northwest winds and building seas are behind this front northeast of the Bahamas. The strong winds will lift northeast of the area by late tonight. High pressure will move eastward along 30N/31N through the period leading to improving conditions over most of the forecast waters. With the high shifting eastward, expect increasing northeast to east winds near the Windward Passage tonight through Thu night, and near the coast of Hispaniola Fri and Fri night.
