Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A strong cold front is currently moving across the
Gulf waters producing gale-force winds and very rough seas. The
front extends from the Florida Big Bend to near Veracruz,
Mexico, and it is forecast to move just SE of the basin by this
evening. Winds are forecast to diminish below gale force, except
in the Bay of Campeche, by this afternoon, but strong northerly
winds will continue the affect the Gulf region through this
evening. High pressure in the wake of the front will shift
eastward through Mon, allowing for fresh east to southeast
return flow to set up over the Gulf in advance of the next cold
front. This cold front is expected to enter the far NW Gulf late
Mon night, and reach from the western Florida panhandle to the
eastern Bay of Campeche by late Tue. Fresh winds will precede
and follow this front.

.SYNOPSIS...Fresh to strong southerly winds are over the NE
Florida waters ahead of a strong cold front that is forecast to 
rapidly enter the SW N Atlantic this morning. Gale conditions
are forecast ahead and behind the front today and tonight. Rough
 seas are expected to linger through early next week, then
slowly  subside through Wed night. Elsewhere, swell will
continue to  impact the Lesser Antilles into early next week as
this swell  event will be reinforced by another set of swell.

.TODAY...S to SW winds 15 to 20 kt S of 27N, and S to SW 25 to
35 kt N of 27N shifting NW in the afternoon. Seas 3 to 4 ft S of 
27N, and building 8 to 12 ft N of 27N. Scattered showers. 
.TONIGHT...N winds 20 to 25 kt S of 27N, and NW to N 20 to 30 kt
N of 27N. Seas 4 to 6 ft S of 27N, and 7 to 10 ft N of 27N.
