Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A surface trough extends from northern Florida to
27N88W and to near 25N92W. The trough will slowly dissipate
through early Fri. Fresh southerly winds are expected to develop
in the central Gulf on Fri ahead of a strong cold front expected
to enter the NW Gulf Fri evening. Gale-force winds and very
rough seas are expected in the wake of the front over the
western and north- central portion of the Gulf waters Fri night
and Sat. Strong to near gale-force winds and rough seas will
follow this front across the rest of the basin.  

.OVERNIGHT...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.FRI...SE to S winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.FRI NIGHT...S winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. 
.SAT...Straits of Florida, S to SW winds 15 to 20 kt, shifting to
W early in the afternoon. Elsewhere, SW winds 15 to 20 kt,
shifting to NW to N 20 to 30 kt early in the afternoon. Seas 4 to
6 ft, building to 7 to 10 ft in SW swell early in the afternoon.

.SYNOPSIS...Fresh southerly winds will prevail across the NE 
Florida waters tonight. Winds will increase fresh to strong off 
the NE Florida coast Fri night ahead of a strong cold front 
forecast to enter the SW N Atlantic on Sat. Gale conditions are 
expected ahead and behind the front Sat. Rough seas are expected
Sat through early next week. Elsewhere, swell that has been 
impacting the offshore waters N of Puerto Rico will subside today,
but continue to impact the Lesser Antilles through the weekend.
