Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from northern Florida to the
central Bay of Campeche. Gale force winds and seas up to 12 ft
are behind the front over the SW Gulf. These winds will diminish
below gale force early this morning. Then, fresh to strong winds
will persist in the same area today. Seas will gradually subside
below 8 ft by tonight. The front will reach the far SE waters by
this evening. High pressure will follow the front. This system
will move eastward across the north Gulf states through
mid-week.

.SYNOPSIS...A reinforcing high pressure will allow a cold front
to move across the northern forecast waters on today, with a low
pressure likely developing along the front E of Florida by this 
evening. The low pressure is forecast to move NE with the front 
reaching the NW Bahamas and the Straits of Florida tonight. Then, 
the front is forecast to move across the SE waters by Tue evening.
Fresh to strong winds and building seas are expected in the wake 
of the front and near the low pressure late today through late Tue
night.

.TODAY...S of 27N, E to SE winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to W in the
afternoon. N of 27N, W winds 10 to 15 kt,  shifting to SE to S
5 to 10 kt in the afternoon. Seas 2 ft or less S of 27N, and 3 to
4 ft N of 27N. Scattered showers. 
.TONIGHT...S of 27N, NW winds 5 to 10 kt. N of 27N, SW winds
10 to 15 kt, shifting to NW late. Seas 2 ft or less S of 27N, and
4 to 6 ft N of 27N. Scattered showers. 
.TUE...NW to N winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and N 10 to 15 kt N of
27N. Seas 2 ft or less S of 27N, and 3 to 5 ft N of 27N.
