Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extending from southeastern Louisiana to
the SW Gulf will weaken as it moves across the eastern Gulf on 
Sat and Sat night. It will dissipate across the Gulf region on Sun
as high pressure builds across the southeastern U.S. bringing 
moderate to fresh east to southeast winds across the forecast 
waters.

.TODAY...SE to S winds 10 kt in the morning, becoming variable
less than 5 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. 
.TONIGHT...Straits of Florida, NE winds 10 kt. Elsewhere,
variable winds less than 5 kt, becoming NE 10 kt late.
Seas 2 to 3 ft or less. 
.SAT...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.SAT NIGHT...NE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.

.SYNOPSIS...Strong high pressure located N of the area will
shift eastward allowing for the next cold from to move off
northern Florida by Fri evening. The front will reach from near 
31N75W to near Lake Okeechobee by Sat morning, and from near 
31N60W to the NW Bahamas by Sun morning. Fresh to strong southerly
winds are expected ahead of the front on Fri. Fresh to strong 
northerly winds are forecast in the wake of the front Sat night 
into Sun. High pressure in the wake of the front will control the 
weather pattern in the region for the remainder of the forecast 
period.
