Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A surface trough from the Florida Straits to the
Yucatan Channel will drift SE and gradually dissipate through
tonight. Another surface trough extends from west-central
Florida to near 26N92W. This feature too will dissipate by
tonight. A strong cold front will move into the NW Gulf Fri
morning, then race through the basin by Fri night, bringing
strong to near gale force winds to much of the basin through
Sat. Gales will develop offshore NE Mexico Fri afternoon and
spread S to offshore Veracruz Fri night. Seas will range between
10 to 15 ft within the strongest winds. Gales will diminish Sat,
with slowly improving conditions by the start of next week.

.FRI...NW to N winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Chance of
showers.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A weakening front has stalled from Bermuda to near 
Cape Canaveral, with strong winds on the north side of the 
boundary. This front will dissipate through tonight, with winds 
gradually diminishing. Low pressure between Florida and Bermuda 
will move NE of the area by Fri. As it does, a strong cold front
 will move off the SE U.S. and bring strong to near gale force 
winds to much of the basin Fri night/Sat. Gale winds are likely
N of 27N Sat, with seas ranging between 10 to 17 ft. These 
conditions will dissipate on Sun.

.TONIGHT...NW winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and N to NE 20 to 25 kt
N of 27N. Seas 5 to 7 ft. Scattered showers. 
.FRI...S of 27N,SW to W winds 5 to 10 kt. N of 27N,NE winds
10 to 15 kt, shifting to SW to W 5 to 10 kt in the afternoon.
Seas 3 to 5 ft. Scattered showers. 
.FRI NIGHT...S of 27N,W to NW winds 15 to 20 kt. N of 27N,W
winds 15 to 20 kt, shifting to W to NW 20 to 30 kt after
midnight. Seas 5 to 7 ft. Showers likely. 
.SAT...NW winds 20 to 30 kt S of 27N, and W to NW 25 to 35 kt N 
of 27N. Seas 8 to 11 ft in NW to N swell.
