Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Complex low pressure over the eastern Gulf with a
trough extending west to 92W will gradually weaken and move
inland into Florida by tonight, with strong to near gale force
winds in the north-central with seas building to near 15 ft.
Conditions in the NE Gulf will gradually improve this afternoon.
A strong cold front will move into the NW Gulf Fri, then race
through the basin by Fri night, bringing strong to near gale
force winds to much of the basin into Sat. Gales are likely
offshore Tampico and Veracruz, Mexico, late Fri and possibly
extend across the central and southeast Gulf into Sat behind
this cold front. 

.TODAY...SW winds 10 to 15 kt, shifting to NW to N 15 to 20 kt in
the afternoon. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Scattered showers and isolated
tstms.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A slow moving cold front from just E of Bermuda to
just N of Haiti is beginning to dissipate at the southern end.
This trend will continue as the front moves E of the area by the
end of the week. Another cold front will move S into the area
tonight, then stall along 28N into Thu, before dissipating. Low
pressure will also emerge off the South Florida coast Thu, then
meander over the NW Bahamas into Fri, before lifting northward,
as another stronger cold front moves off the SE U.S. coast Fri
night. This front will bring near gale force winds and rough
seas behind it for the weekend.  

.TODAY...S of 27N, S winds 10 to 15 kt. N of 27N, S winds 5 to
10 kt,  shifting to NE to E 10 to 15 kt in the afternoon. Seas
2 ft or less S of 27N, and 3 to 4 ft N of 27N. Scattered showers
and isolated tstms.
