Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from Tampa Bay, Florida to Cancun, Mexico. A squall line with strong thunderstorms is just ahead of the front. Gale force W to NW winds are occurring over the NE Gulf of Mexico behind the front. Strong to near gale force NW winds are occurring elsewhere behind the front. The front will exit the basin this afternoon. Gale force winds will continue over the NE Gulf into this evening. Trailing fresh to strong winds and rough seas in the eastern Gulf will gradually diminish on Mon. Conditions are forecast to improve on Mon as high pressure builds over the region.
