Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A ridge will dominate the Gulf waters through Fri.
Southerly return flow will set up over the western Gulf by late
Fri ahead of the next cold front forecast to enter the Gulf
region on Sat. Fresh to strong winds and building seas are
expected in the wake of the front. Gale conditions are possible
off of Tampico, Mexico, by Sat evening, and near the Veracruz
area by Sat night into Sun. Conditions will improve into next
week as light and gentle winds return across the basin.  

.TODAY...NW to N winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. 
.TONIGHT...NW winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. 
.FRI...NW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. 
.FRI NIGHT...NW winds 5 to 10 kt,  shifting to S late. Seas 3 to
4 ft. 
.SAT...S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 ft. 
.SAT NIGHT...S winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.

.SYNOPSIS...Area of convection along the stationary front will
continue with a large area of low pressure expected to develop 
late today. The associated cold front will move across the SW N 
Atlantic late Thu through Fri. Gale conditions are expected over
 the waters N of 27N ahead of the front late tonight into Fri.
The next cold front will emerge off the coast of Florida Sun
night.  Strong to near gale force southerly winds are expected
ahead of  the front on Sun.

.TODAY...NW to N winds 10 to 15 kt. S of 27N, seas 3 ft in the
morning, subsiding to 2 ft or less. N of 27N, seas 3 to 5 ft.
Scattered showers. 
.TONIGHT...W to NW winds 10 to 15 kt, increasing to 20 to 25 kt
late. Seas 4 to 6 ft. 
.FRI...NW winds 15 to 20 kt S of 27N, and NW 20 to 30 kt N of
27N. Seas 3 to 5 ft S of 27N, and 6 to 9 ft N of 27N. 
.FRI NIGHT...S of 27N, NW to N winds 10 to 15 kt. N of 27N, NW
winds 15 to 20 kt, diminishing to 5 to 10 kt late. Seas 3 to 4 ft
S of 27N, and 5 to 7 ft N of 27N. 
.SAT...NE to E winds less than 5 kt, shifting to S in the
afternoon. Seas 2 ft or less S of 27N, and 3 to 5 ft N of 27N.
