Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from the Straits of Florida
into the south central Gulf near 23N85W, then is stationary to
the Bay of Campeche. Strong winds are behind the front, but conditions
will improve across the Gulf of Mexico by Wed as the front pushes
well southeast of the area. In the wake of the front, high 
pressure will build over Gulf late this week, leading to gentle 
winds. The next cold front is likely to emerge off the Texas coast
over the weekend. 

.TODAY...N to NE winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.TONIGHT...NE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.WED...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 ft in the morning, subsiding
to 2 ft or less. 
.WED NIGHT...N winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered
showers. 
.THU...NW to N winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 ft.
.THU NIGHT...NW to N winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.FRI...NW to N winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 ft. 
.FRI NIGHT...NE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.
.SAT...E to SE winds less than 5 kt, shifting to S in the
afternoon. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.SAT NIGHT...S winds 10 to 15 kt, becoming SW 20 to 25 kt after
midnight. Seas 2 ft or less.  

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from 29N65W to the Straits of
Florida. The front will reach near 25N65W to the central Bahamas
 to western Cuba early Wed. Strong N to NE winds and building
seas  will follow the front through Wed, affecting the NW
Bahamas. Winds will diminish Wed night as the front weakens.
Looking ahead, a  trough of low pressure will form over Florida
and the Bahamas on  Thu. A large area of low pressure is
expected to form by Thu night or early Fri as the system moves
northeastward. This system is likely to cause strong winds late 
this week over a large area north of 24N Fri. Winds and seas will
diminish Fri night through Sat night as high pressure builds over
the region.

25 kt N of 27N. Seas 5 to 7 ft. Scattered showers. 
.TONIGHT...NE winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. Scattered

showers.
