Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Fresh to strong return flow is across the gulf W of
86W ahead of a strong cold front forecast to come off the coast
of Texas this morning. Strong gale conditions will affect the NW
and SW basin today. The front is forecast to move east of the
gulf Mon morning. Winds and seas associated with the front will
gradually subside through Mon night. Light to gentle variable
winds are expected Tue increasing to gentle to moderate speeds
Wed.  

.TODAY...S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. 
.TONIGHT...SW to W winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft,building to
5 to 7 ft after midnight. Isolated showers.
.MON...NW to N winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 6 to 9 ft. 
.MON NIGHT...N to NE winds 15 kt. Seas 6 to 9 ft in W to NW
swell. 
.TUE...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. 
.TUE NIGHT...E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. 
.WED...E winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to W to NW in the afternoon.
Seas 3 ft in W swell in the morning, subsiding to 2 ft or less. 
.WED NIGHT...N to NE winds less than 5 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.THU...E winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to SE to S in the afternoon.

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure centered E of the Bahamas will remain 
nearly-stationary today. The high pressure will weaken and move 
east this evening ahead of a strong cold front that will enter 
the NW offshore waters late tonight into Mon. Strong to near 
gale force southerly winds will prevail today to the N of the 
Bahamas ahead of the front then reaching gale force N of 30N 
early on Mon. Gale force conditions will diminish late Mon 
afternoon as the front moves away from the area. Building seas 
associated with the front will subside to the east of the
Bahamas on Wed. 

.TODAY...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S to SW 15 to
20 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.TONIGHT...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S to SW 20 to
25 kt N of 27N. Seas 4 to 6 ft in SE swell. 
.MON...S of 27N,SW winds 10 to 15 kt. N of 27N,SW winds 25 to
30 kt, shifting to W to NW 20 to 25 kt in the afternoon. Seas
4 to 6 ft in NW swell. Chance of showers. 
.MON NIGHT...N winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and N 15 to 20 kt N of
27N. Seas 4 to 6 ft in N swell. Slight chance of showers. 
.TUE...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.
