Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Winds and seas will diminish over the eastern Gulf
today, as high pressure builds in. The center of the high will
cross the northern Gulf into Fri, bringing tranquil conditions. 

.TODAY...NW to N winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 6 to 8 ft. 
.TONIGHT...N winds 15 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.

.SYNOPSIS...Low pressure has moved northeast away from the NW
waters, and will continue moving farther away today. A cold
front extends from the low to around 31N75W to the northwest
Bahamas. Gales are occurring along and behind this front, mainly
N of 28N,between 72W and 80W. The front will move east through
the waters the remainder of the week, but westerly gales will
diminish by midday, leaving strong NW winds in place through
tonight. High pressure will build in starting Thu, leading to 
tranquil conditions. Low pressure north of the area will lead to 
strong W winds N of 28N this weekend.
