Strong N to NE winds are expected tonight into early Tue in the NE Gulf. High pressure is forecast to build north of the area behind the front, maintaining moderate to fresh winds through Wed. Winds will diminish across the basin Thu ahead of the next cold front forecast to move off the coast of Texas by Thu evening. The merged front will reach from 31N60W to the Windward Passage early Wed. Strong to near gale force NW to N winds are forecast to develop behind the reinforcing cold front early Tue, affecting the area through Tue evening. In the wake of the front, high pressure will build in off the coast of Georgia and northern Florida on Thu.
