Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure centered over the Carolinas extends a
ridge across the Gulf region. A strong cold front will make its 
way into the basin by early Mon. Fresh to strong northerly wind 
will be expected behind the front, mainly over the eastern Gulf, 
Mon through Tue night. High pressure is forecast to build in 
behind the front by the middle of the upcoming week.

.SYNOPSIS...A stationary front extending 31N64W to near West
Palm Beach, Florida will remain over the northern forecast
waters through Sun night, before lifting north ahead of a strong 
cold front that will move off the northeast Florida coast on Mon. 
Currently, strong high pressure building offshore the southeastern
United States combined with the stationary front is creating a 
tight pressure gradient over the north waters just behind the 
front. As a result, fresh to strong NE to E winds are expected in 
the wake of the front through Sun. Looking ahead, winds could 
reach gale force behind the second front. 

.TONIGHT...NE to E winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft S of 27N,
and 6 to 9 ft N of 27N. Scattered showers. 
.SUN...E winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and NE to E 15 to 20 kt N of
27N. Seas 3 to 5 ft S of 27N, and 6 to 8 ft N of 27N. Scattered
showers. 
.SUN NIGHT...E winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and E 10 to 15 kt N of
27N. S of 27N, seas 3 ft, subsiding to 2 ft or less. N of 27N,
seas 4 to 6 ft. Scattered showers. 
.MON...S of 27N, E to SE winds less than 5 kt, shifting to W in
