Fresh to strong southerly winds will develop across the NW Gulf tonight into Wed ahead of a cold front expected to push off the Texas coast on Wed. The front will move across the Gulf region through Thu night. Fresh to strong winds are expected ahead and behind the front, with building seas to 13 ft in the wake of the front. Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida .SYNOPSIS...A deepening, non-tropical low pressure system with storm-force winds is located about 400 miles east-northeast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. The tail of the associated cold front is moving E across the north-central forecast waters with fresh to near gale force S winds and building seas ahead of it and fresh to strong W winds behind it. A second cold front is moving off NE Florida coast this morning, and will bring more fresh to strong winds across the waters N of 27N. Both fronts are forecast to merge tonight.
