Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...The southern end of a surface trough extends across
the Straits of Florida and the SE Gulf generating scattered
showers and thunderstorms. The remainder of the Gulf is under
the influence of a ridge forecast to dominate the Gulf region
during the next several days. Moderate to locally fresh return
flow will prevail across the western Gulf through the middle of
next week.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A large non-tropical low pressure area remains 
located N of area, about 100 miles southeast of Morehead City, 
North Carolina. A surface trough extends from the low center
across the NW Bahamas into the Straits of Florida. Scattered to
numerous showers and thunderstorms are along the trough axis.
The trough will remain nearly stationary through at least Mon. A
tropical wave moving across the caribbean Sea will bring an
increase in winds and seas across the SE waters through Mon
night.

.OVERNIGHT...S of 27N, NE winds less than 5 kt, shifting to SE
late. N of 27N, NW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less S of 27N,
and 3 ft N of 27N. Scattered showers and isolated tstms. 
.SUN...S of 27N, SW to W winds less than 5 kt. N of 27N, NW to N
winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to SE in the afternoon. Seas 2 ft or
less S of 27N, and 3 to 4 ft N of 27N. Scattered showers and
isolated tstms. 
.SUN NIGHT...NE to E winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to SE late. Seas
2 ft or less S of 27N, and 3 to 4 ft N of 27N. Scattered showers
