Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extending from the Florida panhandle to
near Tampico, Mexico will continue to move southeastward through
Thu, stall from roughly Fort Myers, Florida to the coast of
Veracruz, Mexico near 18N95W Fri, then dissipate Sat. Fresh to
strong winds will follow the front over the northwest and north-
central Gulf into tonight. Fresh to strong winds will funnel
along the coast of Veracruz Thu, with seas building to 9 ft.
Looking ahead, winds and seas will diminish across basin from
Sat and into early next week as high pressure builds over the
northern Gulf.  

.TONIGHT...N winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.  Scattered 
showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.THU...N to NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Scattered 
showers and isolated thunderstorms.

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Depression Peter near 21.7N 66.7W 1008 mb 
at 5 PM EDT moving NNW at 4 kt. Maximum sustained winds 30 kt 
gusts 40 kt. Peter will move to near 22.5N 66.8W late tonight, 
then weaken to a remnant low near 23.5N 66.6W Thu afternoon,
reach near 24.4N 66.1W late Thu night and to near 25.6N 65.3W
Fri afternoon before dissipating on Sat. A cold front will move 
off the northeast Florida coast tonight, continue to the southeast
Thu, stall from 31N77W to near Fort Pierce, Florida by late Fri, 
then dissipate through early Sat evening.

of 27N. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.
