Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Post-Tropical Cyclone Nicholas remains stationary
north of the area in SW Louisiana. Moderate to fresh winds will
gradually diminish improving conditions offshore the Louisiana
and upper Texas coasts today. For the remainder of the week,
gentle to moderate southerly flow will dominate the basin. 

.TODAY...S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered showers
and isolated tstms. 
.TONIGHT...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered
showers and isolated tstms.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...Low pressure located about midway between the
Bahamas and Bermuda is producing poorly organized shower
activity. Environmental conditions are expected to become more
conducive for development. Thus, a tropical depression is likely
to form in the next day or two while the system moves NNW to N
off the SE U.S. coast. Regardless of development, increased
winds and seas can be expected between the Bahamas and Bermuda
through the remainder of the week, and some high surf is
possible offshore N FLorida. Elsewhere, weak high pressure will
lead to gentle to moderate mainly easterly winds across the
basin.

N of 27N.
